A health indicator is a numeric measure of the public health status of a population or a health system.

Indicator reports are brief online reports, much like a fact sheet or report card, that provide data, graphs, maps, and explanatory information for a specific public health issue, such as why it's important, what the current status is, and what is being done to improve it.
