How Are We Doing?In 2015, four community colleges (Morris, Middlesex, Brookdale, and Mercer) began offering A.S. degrees in public health, thus achieving the Healthy NJ 2020 target of 20%. In 2017, Passaic Community College became the fifth to offer an A.S. in public health. The national public health accreditation program launched in 2011. In 2015, Bloomfield Department of Health & Human Services was the first New Jersey local health department to achieve accreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board. In 2017, Camden County Health Department became the second and, in 2018, Princeton Health Department became the third to achieve accreditation. Several others are in the application process.
